When you write to us for a quote, or subscribe to hear about our dates, you
leave us some personal data. This page says what we do with it, in plain words.
Last updated: 2 September 2026.
This is an English translation of our Italian privacy policy, provided
for your convenience. The Italian
version is the legally binding one: if the two ever differ, the Italian text prevails.
Who handles your data
Hot Joe & The CoffeeKillers is a band with no legal personality. The
data controller — the one who decides what happens to your data and answers
for it — is therefore a person of flesh and blood:
Michele Frosio, as the band’s contact person — Brescia, Italy.

If you need the full personal details for a formal request, write to us
and we will provide them. We have no data protection officer (DPO): we are not required
to appoint one.
What data we collect
If you ask for a quote, only what you type into the form: your name, one contact
detail (email or phone) and the details of the night — type of event, date, place,
how many people, length, rough budget, the extras you want and any notes you leave us.
If you subscribe to our date updates, only your email address.
While you browse we ask you for nothing and we do not recognise you. We only
collect anonymous statistics: how many visits a page gets, from which country, on what
kind of device. None of it is linked to you.
We use no profiling cookies. In fact, we install no cookies at
all — which is why you see no banner to accept.
What we need it for, and why we may process it
- To reply and make you an offer. Legal basis: the pre-contractual steps you
asked for by writing to us (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- To send you the date updates, if you subscribed. Legal basis: your consent
(art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw whenever you like.
- To see how the site is doing through anonymous statistics. Legal basis: our
legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works (art. 6.1.f), with no impact on
you because the data does not identify you.
We do not use your data to profile you, we take no automated decisions about you and
we neither sell nor pass it on to anyone for commercial purposes.
Who else sees it
Only the five of us in the band, and the technical suppliers we need to keep the site
running. Each of them processes the data on our behalf, under a contract that requires
them to:
- Formspree (Formspree Inc., United States) — receives what you write in
the forms and delivers it to us.
- Netlify (Netlify Inc., United States) — hosts the site; its servers log
accesses, as any web server does.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc., United States) — provides the anonymous
visit statistics, with no cookies and without recognising individual visitors.
Transfers outside the European Union. These suppliers are based in the United
States, so your data may be processed outside the EU. The transfer relies on the
standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and, where
applicable, on their certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Ask us if you would like a copy of those safeguards.
The fonts used on this site are hosted on our own servers: opening a
page does not contact Google or any other outside service.
The YouTube video
There is a video on some pages. Until you start it you only see a still image hosted by
us: YouTube is not contacted and does not know you are here. The moment you press
play, the YouTube player loads and from then on Google may collect data and install
its own cookies, under its own rules
(Google privacy policy).
It stays your choice: if you do not press play, nothing happens.
How long we keep it
- Quote requests: up to 24 months from our last exchange. If we do end up
playing for you, we keep what tax obligations require, for as long as the law says.
- Date update subscriptions: as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe,
we remove your address.
- Anonymous statistics: kept by Cloudflare for a limited period, and in any case
not traceable back to you.
Do you have to give it to us?
No. But without a name and a contact detail we cannot reply to you, and without your
email we cannot send you the updates. Everything else (date, place, number of guests,
budget) only serves to make you a sensible offer: leave it out and our offer will be
vaguer.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us to see the data we hold about you, to correct
it, to erase it, to restrict its use, to receive it in a readable
format or to object to the processing. If you gave us a consent, you can
withdraw it whenever you like, without affecting what we did before.
An email to music@thecoffeekillers.com
is enough: we reply within one month.
If you think we are getting it wrong, you can turn to the Italian data protection
authority, the Garante
per la protezione dei dati personali (Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, Italy), to the
supervisory authority of the EU country where you live, or to a court.
If this policy changes
We update it whenever something changes on the site or in the services we use, and the
date at the top always tells you which version you are reading. If the change is an
important one and you left us a contact detail, we will tell you.
